SharePoint stays the system of record.
Firm files live in SharePoint, exactly as they do today. Centerbase doesn't duplicate or replace that storage. It adds matter context. When a matter is created, Centerbase maps it to the right SharePoint folder, so documents, versions, and edits in Word stay organized around the matter automatically.
Multiple users can work in the same document at once, with changes autosaving directly to SharePoint, no separate save step, no version conflicts to untangle.

Deadlines
LawToolBox 365 keeps everything in sync.
For firms managing deadlines and docketing, Centerbase integrates with LawToolBox 365, a deadline product built natively on Microsoft 365. Firms can send matters to LawToolBox and manage deadlines directly from within the matter in Centerbase.
Users log in with their existing Microsoft credentials through single sign-on, and deadlines created in LawToolBox appear as Outlook calendar events, then flow into Centerbase's calendar for firms with Office 365 sync enabled. Deadlines stay visible everywhere a firm already looks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a specific type of Office 365 account for this to work?
Yes. Centerbase syncs with Microsoft-hosted Office 365 only. Third-party hosted or on-premise versions of Office are not supported.
Can I control which Outlook events sync into Centerbase?
Yes. By default, all events created in Office 365 will push into Centerbase. If a firm prefers more control, a text prefix can be set so only events tagged with that prefix sync over, keeping personal or unrelated calendar items out of Centerbase.
Is the calendar sync one-way or two-way?
Both options are supported. Firms can choose one-way sync (Centerbase to Outlook only) or two-way sync (updates flow in both directions). Once an event is synced, edits and deletions stay in sync automatically going forward.
Can I log in to Centerbase using my Microsoft credentials?
Yes. Centerbase supports single sign-on through Outlook, so users can log in with the same Microsoft credentials they already use every day, reducing password fatigue and strengthening account security.
Does this integration work for Mac and Apple users, or just Windows/PC?
Yes, the synchronization works for Apple users as well, not just Windows.
Is there an additional cost to use the Microsoft integrations with Centerbase?
No, there is absolutely no added charge for using the Microsoft tools you love with Centerbase.
What happens if I make a change on one platform after an event has already synced?
Once an event has synced between Centerbase and Outlook, any future edits or deletions made on either platform will automatically carry over to the other, so there's no need to update the same event twice.
